AI is not replacing social media managers. But social media managers who use AI are replacing the ones who don't. After building content strategies for brands across Web3, SaaS and consulting, these are the five Claude prompts I keep coming back to every single week.

The Content Calendar Prompt
"Act as a social media strategist. Create a four-week content calendar for [brand name] targeting [audience] on [platforms]. Include content pillars, post types and a mix of educational, entertaining, inspirational and promotional content. Keep the tone [tone]."
This saves two to three hours every month and gives you a structured plan instantly. Adjust the tone and audience for each client and you have a repeatable system.
The Caption Rewriter Prompt
"Rewrite this caption in three different tones, professional, conversational and bold. Keep it under 150 characters and include a call to action. Original caption: [paste caption]."
Stop staring at a draft you know is not quite right. This gives you three options in seconds and you pick the one that fits the brand voice best.
The Competitor Analysis Prompt
"Analyse this content strategy based on the following posts from a competitor. Identify their content pillars, posting patterns, tone of voice and any gaps I could exploit for my client. Posts: [paste examples]."
Competitor research used to take hours. This cuts it to minutes and surfaces angles you would likely miss on your own.
The Engagement Reply Prompt
"Write five genuine, varied reply comments to the following post that build community, ask a question or add value. Avoid sounding like a bot. Post: [paste post]."
Community management is where most managers cut corners. This keeps replies feeling human while saving real time across multiple accounts.
The Monthly Report Prompt
"Turn these raw analytics into a clear, client-friendly monthly social media report. Highlight wins, explain any dips, and suggest three recommendations for next month. Data: [paste stats]."
Clients do not want raw numbers. They want a story. This prompt turns a spreadsheet into a narrative your clients actually read and value.
Final Thoughts
The social media managers winning in 2026 are not working harder. They are working smarter, using AI to handle the repeatable stuff so they can focus on strategy, creativity and relationships. These five prompts are a solid start.
If you want help building a social media strategy that actually moves the needle, get in touch. It is what I do.
